Messaging terms
These are the rules for texts, calls and email from us, and from businesses that use our tools.
Effective date: October 25, 2026
Where we stand
Today we run no text-message program, send no marketing texts and make no marketing calls. Sending us a request does not enroll you in an automated messaging program.
If that changes, we will update this page before any message is sent.
Our promises
These promises apply to us now, and to any messaging program we ever run. We also expect them from businesses that use our tools.
- We ask for your yes before we send automated or marketing texts, or make marketing calls. For marketing, your yes must be in writing. A form you submit online counts, if it says clearly what you are agreeing to and you sign it, for example by ticking a box or typing your name.
- You never have to say yes to buy anything from us.
- We keep a record of when and how you said yes.
- Before you join a texting program, we tell you what it is for, how often to expect messages, how to get help and how to stop. We also tell you that message and data rates may apply.
- We message you only at hours the law allows in your local time.
- We do not sell, rent or share your phone number or your yes with others for their marketing.
How to stop messages
This applies to texts from us, and to texts sent through our tools. Reply STOP to end texts. END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE and QUIT work too.
You can also tell us in your own words, by reply, call or email. We will act on it.
We stop within 10 business days at the latest, and usually right away. We may send one last text to confirm. After that, we send no more automated or marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Reply HELP to get help and our contact details.
Calls and AI voices
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) is the US law on automated calls and texts. It treats a call with an AI-made voice as an artificial-voice call. Marketing calls like that need your written yes first.
If we make a marketing call, it follows these rules. We do not call numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry, unless you asked us to call you. We keep our own do-not-call list, and we do not call anyone who asks us to stop.
An AI on a call says it is an AI and names the business at the start. When an AI makes a call, it also gives you a number to call back and offers a call back from a person. In a marketing call you can say stop at any point. If we ever record a call, we tell you at the start.
The CAN-SPAM Act is the US law on commercial email. If we send an email that is an ad, we say so. The sender name and subject line are honest.
That email also has our valid postal address and a clear way to say you want no more of them. We honor that request within 10 business days at the latest.
Emergencies
Do not send emergency requests through an automated messaging channel. Call emergency services instead.
When a business uses our tools
A business that uses our tools is responsible for its own messages. It must have your yes, follow the law and honor your requests to stop.
Where an AI helps write a message, the business chooses what may go out on its own and what waits for approval. Messages a business sends through our tools may cover questions, appointment reminders and follow-ups.
To stop messages from a business, tell the business. You can also write to us, and we will pass your request on promptly.
